Extraordinary Salads

Salads…where do we even start? I have usually one a day with dinner, it’s the perfect side dish for anything we’re cooking. But I must admit sometimes I’ll toss a few leafy greens together in the morning with eggs on top, for a protein-packed breakfast.     There are many ways to make it less boring, tastier and without compromising the nutritional value.  Choose leafy greens you like as a foundation. Personally, I prefer spinach and arugula. The darker the color of the leaf the better, as they contain more antioxidants such as anthocyanins & flavonoids, that goes for every vegetable or fruit.     Secondly, add fresh vegetables, and you can get as creative as you want, that’s what...

Our April Donation to Charity

We made our monthly donation of 1% of our sales, split equally to both Vitamin Angels & Doctors Without Borders. Both are 4 star rated charities that are deeply involved in providing nutrition and care for those suffering from poverty, war and famine. We sell our vitamins to those who can afford them, so we donate for those who cannot. We forgot to post last month’s notification of our monthly donation…but we most assuredly did donate, as we have every month since we have been in business and will continue to do going forward.

Eat Well and Lose Weight

  I really love food. Really, really love food. Ever since I can remember I ate a little more than what was necessary, and I can still hear various family members and friends telling me so. Growing up in Romania, we didn’t have many choices, or the luxury of being picky, whatever was in front of us, we had to eat.  I remember my first day in USA over 10 years ago, opening our refrigerator was an astonishing experience, as I’ve never seen so many food varieties in a refrigerator at once.
